The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is ready for the general elections as and when they are scheduled, Telangana's Information Technology Minister K T Rama Rao said today.
During an interaction on twitter through #AskKTR, Rama Rao, the son of Chief Minister and TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao said "Absolutely ready whenever they (polls) happen."
Rama Rao, popularly called as KTR, was responding to a tweet, wherein the user asked "Do you think the general elections would come before 2018 Dec? And are u ready for it, if it comes?"
Exuding confidence that the TRS would win the next elections in 2019, Chandrasekhar Rao had last month said he was ready to go for early polls and challenged the Opposition parties to face the same, if they are willing to.
Asked on his opinion on simultaneous polls for Lok Sabha and Assembly along with few other states, Rama Rao said he "welcomes it."
Chandrasekhar Rao had recently expressed his support to simultaneous polls to the Lok Sabha and state Legislature in the country.
Responding to another tweet which sought his opinion on Left politics, Rama Rao said, "People left them long back."
On the recent externment orders issued against Telugu actor Kathi Mahesh and head of Sri Peetham of Kakinada Swami Paripoornananda (externed from Hyderabad city for next six months), Rama Rao tweeted "No compromise when it comes to maintaining law & order.
